While SFH has changed its primary focus toward proactive economic growth, we are realistic enough to know that there are desperate and immediate needs for the people of post-earthquake Haiti. To address those needs, we are building houses for homeless families.
Working with groups that already have the skills and expertise to build effectively and efficiently, we hope to provide homes, one family at a time.
In keeping with our desire for long term growth, however, we will only work with locally made or purchased materials. And while we will send teams to help with the building, we are also hiring as much local labor as possible.
Our first team will be traveling to Haiti in October. Come back to this page often as we add specifics about our home-building efforts.
